Description

This is the location where the Sumida River and the Onagi River intersect.

In the center of the image, we see the arched Mannen Bridge. The ends of the bridge are quite high, as the stone walls were raised to protect the low-lying Fukagawa area from floods.

On the busy bridge, many people are passing by. Several boats carrying goods can be seen on the river. In the lower right corner, a man is seated alone on a stone and fishing.

This image is a view from the river in the foreground, and thus creates the impression that viewers are in a boat traveling toward Fuji.
