Description

This area - known as Saruga-Banba - was between Shirasuka and Futagawa stations.

Three ‘Goze’ - blind female musicians - are approaching the famous teahouse where ‘Kashiwa Mochi’, rice cakes wrapped in oak leaves and filled with sweet bean paste, are served.

In the distance many short pine trees are seen. Because these trees were short and did not block the scenery, this area was known for wide beautiful views.

This region has been well restored and has become one of the most popular stations nowadays.
