Description

A Matsu-kazari (New Year decoration) is visible on the left and the crest on the two men's blue kimono is 'Maru ni Sangi (丸に算木),' used by people whose work is related to trees. This is from Hokusai's famous "One hundred views of Mt. Fuji"

This appears to be a route where many people come and go, with Mount Fuji depicted in Hokusai's typical style, featuring a very sharp angle.

During that era, most artists hesitated to draw human faces from the front, but Hokusai successfully took on this challenge.

The kanji character written on the kite on the pine decoration in the left foreground, is tomi 富, which means 'wealth'.
