Description

On a mountain path, one woman is adjusting another lady's obi sash. Both women are dressed in gorgeous kimono, complete with decorative obi belts.

Since they aren't carrying any parcels, they are likely not on a journey but rather heading to somewhere nearby.

The flat areas of the mountain are covered in light green, suggesting that the season is early spring when it is still cold, especially in the mountains.

The signature reads "Kako" (可候), a name Hokusai used when he was about 40 years old.
