As with many (most) of the prints in these Taisho subscription sets, an exact original cannot usually be identified. This print may be patterned after a design by Kiyotsune now stored in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. (image in the Additional Images tab)

They have identified the two actors as : Segawa Kikunojô II as Matsukaze and Ichimura Uzaemon IX as Narihira

We also have the original wrapper for this print (which came as a pair together with a Hokusai design). This was produced by the 美術木版画会出版 (Bijutsu Mokuhanga-kai Shuppan), and the wrapper tells us that this was issue #17 of the series.
