Description

Cherry blossoms are in full bloom, and the boy is talking to the women walking nearby. He is holding what are likely candy sculptures; figures shaped like foxes, goldfish and so on made by molding hot, melted sugar. The woman on the left appears disinterested and is looking in another direction.

The artist is Koa Micho (古阿三蝶), whose birth and death years are unknown but was active in the 1710s. He was not only an ukiyo-e artist but also known as a playwright.
