Description

Two women are coming out of a public bath, each holding their clothes, presumably changed after bath. They are looking back at a man carrying a bundle of camellia flowers on his head.

Toyokuni 豊国 depicted these three people an interesting manner; the two beautiful and tall ladies are wearing nicely patterned kimono, while the man, who looks like a peddler, is short, dressed in simple clothes, and has a funny-looking face.

We are not sure, but this seems to be the work of the first Toyokuni 初代歌川豊国(1769-1825). He depicted many beautiful ladies who appear healthy and have a soft, gentle atmosphere.
