In the evening, a woman is relaxing before going to bed in the mosquito net. When we see a woodblock print, we can't help but imagine the process. It is nearly impossible to carve such a pattern on a single block of wood, so the carver splits it into two pieces - one for horizontal lines, one for the vertical.

The brush lines drawn for the single-layer kimono, which the woman wears, flow elegantly and naturally. There is a fan placed in the right foreground; we can be sure that its ribs, frame, and the handles are made of bamboo, and the flower image must be printed on washi-paper. The lantern covered with paper is placed in front of the lady. It must be providing a mild light for her.

We know that inside the mosquito net is quite hot, but we still feel an invitation into that era when everything moved slowly and we were surrounded by goods made of natural materials.
