Description
This lady is Hinazuru of the Keizetsuro house, subtitled 'Atmosphere of the hallway'. She extends her hand from the collar of her kimono and rests it on her chin, in a contemplative pose.
In ukiyo-e woodblock prints, one of the key attractions is the brush lines, which are rarely seen in most contemporary prints. In this print, the kimono outlines are carved following and showing the shapes of clear brush lines, adding to the attraction of the image.
