Description
The name of this courtesan is unknown but the name of the house (Matsuba-ya) is written on the lantern at the top right.
Her hairlines are very delicately carved with the 'Yaege' technique, in which the hairs are arranged into groups.
The loose hairs at the back of her neck are also very well done and look quite real.
