Description

This charming young girl is Oseyo of the Hiranoya Teahouse. In the original version, her name was included, though it was somehow erased in later editions.

She wears red hair accessories, symbolizing her youth; some sources indicate she would have been sixteen years old. She appears relaxed in a cotton kimono (yukata) with a seashell pattern, adjusting the collar by pulling both sides together.

A slight smile shows her front teeth, suggesting she may be conversing with someone or smiling. Her finely detailed hairlines and eyebrows are beautifully carved and printed.
