Description
A reproduction (probably) from the early Showa period, by Fusui Shobo 孚水書房.
The lines are all carved and printed very carefully. The gradation (bokashi) of the tortoiseshell comb particularly looks very realistic. The hairlines around the face and nape are also finely detailed.
She is Hinadori of Keizetsuro house (鶴舌楼雛鶴), and Utamaro captured her sorrowful look and depicted her emotion with sensitivity.
