Description
A mother, who is leading her crying child by the hand, looks over her shoulder with a worried expression on her face. She seems to be looking at the house in the inset - perhaps they have had to leave their home, or perhaps she is remembering a place they used to live. This print by Eisen accompanied the story Batchi Atari (罰あたり, "Cursed") in volume 6, issue 3, of Bungei Kurabu, published in 1900.
