Description
A beautiful and almost deathly pale woman with long hair carries firewood (probably to sell) on her back. Perhaps she is showing the firewood to the samurai standing behind her, or maybe she is just passing him. It appears that nunome-zuri (printing in imitation of fabric texture) or kara-zuri blind-embossing has been used on her kimono. We haven't been able to determine the artist of this print or the publication it appeared in, so please let us know if you have any ideas!
