Description
In this kuchi-e, a beautiful woman stands under the autumn leaves, holding a parasol. A few stray hairs have escaped her bun, creating a more romantic image of a stunning woman in a private moment. The frontispiece appeared in volume 13, issue 15 of Bungei Kurabu, published in Meiji 40(1907).
The artist, Takeuchi Keishu (1861-1942), is most well-known for the proliferation of kuchi-e prints he designed in the Meiji period.
