Description
In a charming scene, a young woman takes off her sandals and climbs up onto the back of her friend to collect some white plum blossoms hanging over a stone wall. Her beautifully patterned furisode denotes her youth, and her hairline has been very finely carved. The cloud pattern at the top of the print is reminiscent of nara-ehon illustrations. Very light bokashi gradation can be seen behind the tree. The print is a chuban, an ukiyoe-e print that is about half the size of an oban print.
