Description
This print demonstrates the excellent use of karazuri blind-embossing at the hands of a skilled printer. The light (and very intricate) blind-embossed patterns on the egrets' wings contrast with the "heavier" blind-embossed ripples around the cormorant's body. Both uses help to make the print feel more realistic, and also display to us how karazuri can be used in different ways for different effects.
