Very delicate ‘Nunome-zuri’ (cloth embossing) is applied on the hair scarves of the two ladies in the foreground, as well as the red undergarment of the lady in the blue kimono. The distant horizon is vague and blurred, but the two sailing boats add depth to the scene. Many fishermen are hard at work pulling their heavy net - presumably with encouraging shouts. This scene anticipates the relaxing event after the big catch!
