Description

The Japanese title of this print ‘Enyu-kai 園遊会’ means imperial garden party but this image possibly refers to a more casual upper class outdoor party.

A teahouse waitress in a colourful kimono holds a tray and wipes her face while dapper customers in top hats stroll under the blossoming sakura trees in the background. It appears that her headscarf has been lightly blind-embossed.
