This is the table of contents for the original 1895 set of the Kabuki Jûhachiban (歌舞伎十八番, "The Eighteen Great Kabuki Plays") series of prints by the artist Kiyotada (also known as Tadakiyo). The publisher's name, address, and information on the printing date are woodblock-printed on the left margin of the print.

Compared with the table of contents for the 1927 reproduction set, this original table of contents uses more stripes in the upper right panel and a different colour scheme. As with all of the prints in this series, the detailed karazuri blind-embossing in the background is a highlight.
