There are many Hiroshige tanzaku-ban prints available (a single sheet of washi cut into four strips vertically), but this mitsugiri-ban (a single sheet cut into thirds, resulting in a wider print), is more rare. The bird in this image is sometimes described as an onaga-dori, a type of rooster, but I'm not so sure about that attribution ... Some beautiful kara-zuri blind-embossing can be seen on the bird's head and chest.
