One of Hiroshige's more simple kacho-e prints in the standardized tanzaku format. Kacho-e (or kacho-ga) basically translates as 'Bird/Flower Picture' and for the most part, that's exactly what we see in each one ... The poem reads: "A bird flying by / poses danger to poppies / with single layers of petals" (translation by John Carpenter).
