Upper image: It’s cherry blossom season; the bad souls have apparently already been partying and drinking heavily. The man with a fan is inviting the main character to board his pleasure boat, together with the geisha.

Lower image: We now see our hero in his day job as a rickshaw driver. He is inviting the young lady to ride, saying, “This is my own vehicle …” (implying that the charge will be reasonable). The young lady’s older attendant is in accord with this, saying, “This driver looks honest …” The good souls seem to be very eager to have this young lady ride in his vehicle.
