Description
This is a reproduction of one of the more popular designs in Hiroshige's series: 名所江戸百景 (100 Famous Scenes of Edo), seven of which are included in this set.
This location does still exist, although not quite in the same form. The famous 'Moon Pine' - with its branches forming a circle - was destroyed in a typhoon in the Meiji era, but in recent time, a tree in the same area has been 'coaxed' into roughly the same shape, although much smaller ...
