Description

Left: Enma mode ("Pilgrimage to the King of Hell") - an event held annually in January and July in which participants visit Enmado (shrines to Enma, king of the underworld). A particularly fearsome Enma is pictured surrounded by a cloud of incense in this dramatic print.
