Night begins to fall in Yōrō (present day Gifu Prefecture). Some weary travellers shelter from the spray of the 32 metre high Yōrō Waterfall in a small straw hut while two others remain outside and tip their heads back to admire the view. The travellers and hut seem so close to the tumultuous cascade that they are in danger of being swept away. The dark gray bokashi gradation in the background brings out the white spray at the bottom of the waterfall.
