This image of Amida Falls on the Kisokaido is perhaps the most eye-catching print in Hokusai's waterfall series. The water at the top of the print is depicted almost from a bird's-eye view, while the waterfall itself is shown from the "front". Three men enjoy a picnic overlooking the dramatic falls at the top of a cliff on the left-hand side. A beautiful print with startling composition and an unconventional depiction of water.
