Description
This print, Kiseru no kemuri o fuku onna, shows a young, bare-breasted woman casually exhaling a puff of smoke from her pipe in a scene of total relaxation. The smoke has been very delicately printed, and careful bokashi gradation has been used on the woman's lips and at the base of her kimono.
The print is from Utamaro's Fujo Ninsō Juppin ("Ten Classes of Women's Physiognomy") series.
