Description
Left senjafuda slip: Two messengers meet by chance at the Yukiaigawa (River of Meeting) in this famous scene. One messenger has been sent to Kamakura to deliver the message that the execution of Nichiren has been stayed due to an extraordinary event - the executioner's sword suddenly breaking in two - and the other messenger has been sent to cancel the execution altogether.
Central senjafuda slip: Spring water gushes out of the yard of the house on the day Nichiren is born.
Right senjafuda slip: Nichiren chants the Daimoku Mantra for the first time on the dawn of April 28, 1253, at Asahigamori, marking the establishing of Nichiren Buddhism.
