Description
Despite being included as part of this "Eight Snow Scenes of the Eastern Capital" print set by Hiroshige, this print is not by Hiroshige, nor does it really seem to fit with the set's theme. This is because the print, by Hokusai, was consciously included by the publisher of the reproduction set, Kyodo News Publishing, possibly as an advertisement for another series that was in production. The original print by Hokusai was probably produced around 1804, but there is little other information about it available... If you know something about this print, send us an email!
