Description
One design from 'Eight Snow Scenes in the Eastern Capital', this print has a fabulous story behind it (see the main entry for this series for more details!).
While bright red pigments have been used to print the temple buildings, the amount of space given to the snow-flecked sky, along with the centering of the title panel, make the simple beauty of snowflakes in the night sky the focus of this print. The thin black outlines of some of the trees help to make the illustration crisper.
