Description

A design from one of Hokkei's most well-known sets, 'Kai-Zukushi' - 'A Collection of Sea-shells'. The coloring is very subtle with nicely done delicate gradations on the shells. The embossing technique describing the gentle wave coming toward the seashore is gorgeous. Observing the shells and overall image of this print you might even feel the smell of the sea and the sound of the ripples! (S.I.)
