Description
Travelers cross between the stone and wooden halves of Tsukumo Bridge in Echizen in a print featuring the deep blue pigments Hokusai's works are renowned for. Echizen is known for its high-quality hōshō paper, sheets of which can be seen drying in the background of this print. The crest of the original publisher of the print, Nishimuraya, is included on several pieces of luggage being carried by figures on the bridge.
