Description
People stop to enjoy the view of sakura trees in full bloom on the banks of the Katsura River in this print of the Togetsu Bridge by Hokusai. A temple can be seen nestled between mountains in the background, and the "linear" style of the clouds is reminiscent of the depictions of clouds in traditional nara-ehon books and scrolls. The mountains have been printed in such a way that the sakura trees stand out from the print, making them appear heavily laden with white and pink blossoms.
