It is an interesting contrast between the photorealistic expression of the pheasant and the simple expression of the pines reminiscent of the Shijo school.

There are slight creases at the right edge of this print. Our sharp top-light has made the waviness at the right side of the print stand out vividly; it's actually not quite so disruptive ...
