Description: This print is from a set of reproductions of 25 of Hiroshige's lesser-known prints, given the English title "Rare Publication: Selected Works by Hiroshige" by the publisher, O-Edo Mokuhansha. Please visit our Collection page where you can see our own preserved copy of this entire set.

Hiroshige captured the terrific movement of waves whirling at Naruto in Awa (currently Tokushima prefecture). As a landscape with movement, it stands out amoung the series "Rokujûyoshû Meisho Zue" (Famous Places in the Sixty-odd Provinces [of Japan]).
