Description: This print depicts a Japanese black cow seeking shelter from the rain beneath a blossoming peach tree. Believed to have been created in his mid-40s, after his famous series such as "Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido", this work by Hiroshige showcases his mature style, perfectly balancing the cow and peach tree within the narrow tanzaku format.
