Description: This charming print belongs to the series “Illustrated Book of Animals, Insects, and Fish”(Doubutsu Mushi Sakana Gafu), published in 1913 by Unsodo.

This design features a swimming carp, gracefully moving through the water. The artist employs a fluid brushstroke technique, achieving a transparent effect characteristic of watercolor painting. The background is filled with blue brushstrokes evoking water waves, and adding depth to the composition.
