Description: This charming print belongs to the series “Famous Paintings” (Meika gafu), a collection featuring diverse subjects—including birds, flowers, landscapes, and figures—by various artists, and published in 1913 by Naosaburo Yamada (Unsodo).

This particular design features a tiger at rest, exuding both grace and majesty. The artist employs a fluid brushstroke technique, creating a sense of transparency, reminiscent of watercolor painting.

Despite its simplicity, the design beautifully captures the powerful yet serene presence of the feline. The color palette, dominated by soft oranges, browns, and grays, enhances the tranquil atmosphere, while the bold gray stripes provide a striking contrast, adding vibrancy and movement to the overall composition.

This print has slight toning, foxing, and creases. Also, it has some slight dents in the paper in the top right corner.
