Description: This charming print belongs to the series “Famous Paintings” (Meika gafu), a collection featuring diverse subjects—including birds, flowers, landscapes, and figures—by various artists, and published in 1913 by Naosaburo Yamada (Unsodo).

This particular design features a crab beneath a large seashell, with a branch of seaweed in the background. Despite its simplicity, with only three elements, the design effectively captures a serene moment of marine life.

The artist employs a fluid brushstroke technique, creating a sense of spontaneity, movement, and transparency reminiscent of watercolor painting.
