Description: This charming print belongs to the series “Famous Paintings” (Meika gafu), a collection featuring diverse subjects—including birds, flowers, landscapes, and figures—by various artists, and published in 1913 by Naosaburo Yamada (Unsodo).

In this particular design, a snail gracefully moves along a bamboo trellis toward a cluster of white chrysanthemum flowers. The artist employs a fluid brushstroke technique, creating a sense of spontaneity, movement, and transparency reminiscent of watercolor painting.

The color palette, primarily composed of greens, grays, and whites, enhances the composition’s serene and natural atmosphere.

This print has slight toning, slight foxing, and slight creases. Also, the paper has some slight dents in the top right corner.
