The original print was made in the 1830s, although this particular print is a post-war reproduction by Yuyudo. Gotenyama is a small hill overlooking Sodegaura and was known as a famous cherry blossom viewing spot during the Edo period. The loneliness of a spring evening, when the daytime cherry blossom viewing crowds are over, is truly expressed in this scene. Note: the size of this print is slightly smaller than the original.
