The Kanazawa area (now Kanazawa Ward, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture) was once a scenic area with scenic coves, and the "Eight Views of Kanazawa" is a theme depicted by many ukiyo-e artists, most notably Hiroshige's series. It depicts the direction of Shomyo-ji Temple from the Seto no Iriumi. The area from Susaki to Shomyo-ji is an extension of the sandbar leading to Nojima, and because it was flat land, there were many houses and old temples. This particular print is a post-war reproduction by Yuyudo. Note: the size of this print is slightly smaller than the original.
