Description: From the series of Eight Views of Kanazawa. The Kanazawa area (now Kanazawa Ward, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture) was once a scenic area with scenic coves, and the "Eight Views of Kanazawa" is a theme depicted by many ukiyo-e artists, most notably Hiroshige's series.

Susaki is famous for producing salt from seawater and many of the buildings depicted here are saltworker’s residence. The sky is clear, but you can see the mountains in the distance are covered in mist.

This particular print is a post-war reproduction by Yuyudo.
