Description: From the set 'Famous Bridges in the Provincesset'. The set was originally published in about 1834, and all of its prints are signed Saki no Hokusai Iitsu Hitsu ("by the brush of Iitsu, formerly named Hokusai") in the block. There are eleven known prints in the series, each depicting, as the title indicates, a different famous bridge.

Lanterns set up for the Tenma Festival illuminate the famous Tenma Bridge in this aesthetically pleasing print by Hokusai. Boats floating on the Yodo River below are similarly decorated with lanterns, and the first boat seems to be made up of musicians. The bridge's arc, which reaches up into the grey sky, is without question the focus of the print.

This version was reproduced in the post-war period by Adachi Company.
