Description: This print is from a set of Ukiyo-e reproductions published by Kyoeido probably around the 1960s. You can see the scale in Dave's YouTube video featuring Tokaido prints from the same set. The image may look familiar but it's different in terms of size - it's in double ōban format, approximately 55 x 40 cm.

36 Views of Mt. Fuji is an extremely well-known series. What started as 36 works later grew to include a total of 46 images, containing some of the most recognizable works Hokusai ever designed.

The woodblock print commonly titled 'Red Fuji' is no exception. The rising sun reflected on the mountainside has been known to give it a red hue, contrasting beautifully against the multiple blue gradients in the surrounding clouds and sky.

This print is toned overall and has a pinhole at the bottom right corner. Also, there are a few traces of glue removal on the backside.
