Description: This print is part of the series “Female Performers Section of the Yoshiwara Niwaka Festival” and showcases the bust portraits of three beauties who are performing at the festival. At the center, the woman wearing a tall yellow hat and holding a court fan is dressed in the costume for the Asazuma-bune dance, a traditional performance known as the "Asazuma Boat." The woman on the right is portrayed as a seller of folding fans, while her companion on the left is dressed in attire for the skit Utamakura, or "Poetic Epithets."

The artist's attention to detail is evident in the finely executed hairstyles, and in the carefully embossed fan in the lower left of the composition, adding texture and depth to the design. The shimmering silver-gray mica background enhances the elegance and luxurious feel of the print.

This version is a post-war reproduction by Adachi Company.
