Description: This print, from the series “Six Famous Beauties,” showcases the renowned waitress Okita from the Naniwaya teahouse near Asakusa. Okita is elegantly holding with both hands a cup of tea resting on a red tray. In the upper left corner, a squared cartouche features a serene marine landscape.

As a bust portrait, the design focuses closely on Okita’s facial expressions, allowing her slight, graceful smile to take center stage. Her carefully styled hair, adorned with elaborate ornaments, is meticulously detailed, with each strand rendered with precision. This attention to detail highlights Utamaro’s skill in capturing both the beauty and expressiveness of his subjects.

This version is a post-war reproduction by Adachi Company.
