Description: This charming bust portrait depicts the courtesan Someyama of the Matsubaya Brothel, it is part of the series "Contest of Beauties in the Pleasure Quarters." She is shown smiling softly, holding with her fingers the cords of a small red cloth bag, adding a touch of playfulness and intimacy to the portrait.

Her hair is pinned high, with a few loose strands falling casually. She is dressed in multiple layers of colorful kimono, with the outer robe edged by a rosy pink collar adorned with a spider web pattern. The shimmering white mica background enhances the composition, making her face stand out.

This version is a post-war reproduction by Adachi Company.

This print has slight creases. Also, there is a trace of glue removal on the backside.
