Description: This print is from the "Famous Places in the Eastern Capital" (Tôto meisho) series by Hiroshige. The original print was made in the 1830s, although this particular print is a post-war reproduction.

Hiroshige depicts an interesting view of Takanawa in Edo period. The bay follows a curved line where straw stands are aligned all the way long of the shore. A splendid full moon shines in the center of the composition accompained by a flock of geese flying above a calm and blue sea where some boats float faraway behind
